The Women’s Ministry of Metropolitan Baptist Church’s “Mercy Ministry” Team
Matthew 5:7 Blessed are the merciful; for they shall obtain mercy –
The Women’s Ministry “Mercy Ministry” team of Metropolitan Baptist Church is very active. The purpose is to provide communication and supportive services to home bound members. This team of ladies have committed to regularly send cards, make phone calls and/or make visits on behalf of this ministry. There are several ladies who have already made the commitment to participate in this display of “mercy” and compassion for our church members. The sick, shut-in or “missed from church activities” is the targeted membership.
The Ministry is requesting and inviting other church women to become part of this ministry. This is not a meeting group, but rather an “active” ministry.
Current members include:
Constance Graham, Brenda Taylor, Beverly Drake, Geneva Burns, Pearlie Jackson, Sandra Murrell, Vickie Parker, Robin Harris, Pearline Washburn, Bonnie Mills, Sherry Howard, Claytine Coleman, Anita Bell, Bennie Wilson, Florence Ford, Emma Dixon, Margaret Black, Macelle Turner, Anne Gibson and Dorothy McCou.
This team really needs YOU! If you are interested in participating with this group, please contact any of the ladies listed above. The next sharing session is scheduled for November. The place, time and date will be placed in the Church’s Advocate and Sunday Bulletin.
Thanks in advance for your consideration of participation.
Anne Gibson
