Cummings School Announcement

Cummings School is requesting the assistance of 14 volunteers to monitor the students during testing. It begins on April 16th and ends on the 25th. Time: 8:30a.m. to 11 a.m. Please call Doris Hawkins at 901-755-1132 if you are available to serve.

 

Parts for Easter Program
Parts for the 2019 Sunday School Easter program will be given out TODAY. All are welcome to participate. If you have questions, please contact Rosita Bell Brewster or Joyce Anderson

 

Rebecca Club Meeting

The Rebecca Club is scheduled to meet Sunday, April 14th, IMMEDIATELY after Sunday Services on the 3rd Floor.

 

Pulpit Search Committee Update

The Pulpit Search Committee has sent the pastoral vacancy notice to the following organizations to be posted for potential candidates

  • Interdenominational Theological Center (includes Howard University School of Divinityand Morehouse School of Religion)

  • Memphis Theological Seminary

  • National Baptist Convention

  • National Missionary Baptist Convention

  • Progressive National Baptist Convention

The notice is also posted at extraeffortwins.com and on Metropolitan’s Facebook page. The deadline for interested candidates to submit a resume and other required materials is April 30, 2019. The committee is also continuing its work to prepare processes for reviewing candidate packets, conducting interviews and selecting a candidate. Please continue to keep the committee in prayer as they move forward with this important work to identify the next pastor for our church.
